Why size pricing? A crew that spends 7 hours on a coupe spends 9 on a three-row SUV, and flat rates make coupe owners subsidize pickups. Small covers coupes and compacts; X-Large means full-size trucks and big SUVs. One honest asterisk: the shop manager assesses every car on-site, and a rougher-than-average vehicle can take shorter or longer than the hours listed. The price, though, is set before we start. Two shops, one detailing standard
Detailing runs at both addresses. 445 Kingsway handles washes and detailing side by side, so a Mini Detail can happen while you wait with a coffee. 4290 Halifax St. in Burnaby is the detailing and reconditioning facility we share with our sister company West Coast Auto Lab. One thing Burnaby doesn't do: car washes. Those are Kingsway only.
Both shops run Monday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm. Walk-ins suit washes; details are better booked ahead, especially the Complete Diamond, which holds a bay for most of a day.

How do you keep a detailed car looking detailed?
A Complete Diamond resets the car. Habits keep it there. The cheap habit is washing by hand every two to three weeks, because brush tunnels are where swirl marks come from, and grit left sitting on paint through a Vancouver winter grinds itself in. The durable habit is sealing the finish. A 5-year graphene ceramic coating locks freshly polished paint under a layer that road film can't bond to, $489 to $699 with the current 30% off. Detail first, coat second. That order matters.

The Mini runs 2 to 3 hours, Diamond packages 3 to 4, and the Complete Diamond 7 to 8. The shop manager assesses condition on-site, so a rough vehicle can run longer.
What's the difference between a car wash and a detail?
A wash removes dirt; a detail restores the surfaces under it. Washes finish in 20 to 45 minutes, while details run hours because of the machine polishing, clay bar work, extraction, and sanitizing. If the car's just dirty, book the wash and keep the difference.
Do I need an appointment for detailing?
